Home Base Bash Recap: A Successful Event for Cream City Charity

Home Base Bash Recap: A Successful Event for Cream City Charity

The Home Base Bash at Burghardt Sporting Goods was a resounding success, bringing together the local community for a weekend of fun, sports, and charity. Over the course of three days, we celebrated sports, community spirit, and our partnership with Cream City Charity, raising over $1,000 to support their mission of providing sports equipment to underprivileged youth.

Friday Highlights

The event kicked off on Friday, July 25th, with an action-packed day that set the tone for the rest of the weekend. First up was the Blood Drive, which took place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Community members stepped up to donate blood, helping those in need while also supporting a great cause. If you missed it, be sure to check back on on September 29th for our next blood drive!

After the blood drive, the Vendor and Community Showcase took over from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, where local vendors and community organizations showcased their goods and services. It was a great way to connect with the community and support local businesses.

As the sun began to set, we welcomed guests for Free Batting Cages from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, where baseball and softball enthusiasts of all ages enjoyed some free swings in our state-of-the-art batting cages.

Saturday: Skills, Derby, and Giving Back

Saturday, July 26th brought the energy to a whole new level with the highly anticipated Skills Combine and Home Run Derby, held from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. These events were an excellent opportunity for participants to showcase their athletic abilities while having a great time. The Home Run Derby saw some fierce competition, with participants swinging for the fences in the hopes of earning bragging rights and a great cause.

Throughout the day, we also hosted our Raffle and Silent Auction, where attendees could bid on exciting items, including sports memorabilia, local experiences, and more. All proceeds from these activities went directly to Cream City Charity, helping them continue their mission to provide sports equipment to children in need.

The day wrapped up with a final session of Free Batting Cages from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, giving everyone one last chance to swing for the fences before heading into the final day of the Home Base Bash.

Sunday: A Day of Family Fun

Sunday, July 27th was a perfect day for families to come out and enjoy the festivities. We kicked off the day with a Buy One Get One Free Cage Cards offer, available all day long, giving families the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time together in the batting cages.

Additionally, our Personalization Station was available all day, allowing customers to create custom team apparel and accessories. It was a fun and creative way for attendees to make their experience at the Home Base Bash even more special.

Raising Over $1,000 for Cream City Charity

Thanks to the support of our amazing community, we are thrilled to report that we raised over $1,000 for Cream City Charity! Every dollar raised from event signups, the silent auction, and raffle ticket sales will go directly towards providing sports equipment for underprivileged youth in the Greater Milwaukee area. It was heartwarming to see so many people come together to support this important cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the events, made a donation, and helped spread the word. Your generosity will help ensure that more children can enjoy the benefits of sports and teamwork, regardless of their circumstances.
