Order Your Winter Team's Uniforms Before the Season
Basketball and wrestling open in November, so now is the time to get your team's uniforms ordered.
You already run practices, build the schedule, chase down forms, and keep parents in the loop. The uniform order should not be the thing that keeps you up in October. Coaches who come see us in September walk into the first game with everyone in matching gear and one less headache. We have been outfitting New Berlin teams for a long time, and the winter order is one we know cold.
Start before the season sneaks up
Winter seasons arrive fast once school starts. Basketball and wrestling both tip off in November, and a custom uniform is not something you grab off a shelf the week before. There is artwork to build, a proof to approve, sizes to gather, and production time on top of that. Give it room. September and October is the window where an order moves at a comfortable pace instead of a scramble.
Pick the uniform and the look
Decide on the cut and fabric, your colors, and how you want the logo and numbers to read. For basketball that usually means a light home set and a dark away set. For wrestling it means singlets, the two-piece option, or both.
Gather sizes and the roster
This is where orders stall, so do it first. Get a size for every athlete and a couple of spares for late adds, then the names and numbers for each jersey. We can help you set up sizing so you are not guessing.
Approve the proof
We send back a mockup of the uniform in your colors with the artwork placed. You look it over, make any changes, and sign off. Nothing goes into production until you are happy with it.
We decorate and deliver
Our shop prints and stitches the order right here in New Berlin, then gets it to you ahead of the opener. One point of contact from the first sketch to the box on your desk.
The thing that trips coaches up
Waiting on sizes. A roster of guessed sizes turns into re-orders, and re-orders eat the lead time you were counting on. Collect real sizes early, even if a few players are still on the bubble, and the rest of the order takes care of itself.
Know your uniform rules before you buy
High school basketball and wrestling both follow NFHS rules, which the WIAA administers here in Wisconsin with its own adaptations. For basketball, numbers have to be a solid color that contrasts with the jersey, and a rule change coming in 2027 will require a single solid color, so it is worth designing with that in mind now. For wrestling, athletes can wear a one-piece singlet or the approved two-piece of a compression top and shorts, each with NFHS limits on length and fit. Club and rec leagues set their own rules. When you are not sure, your athletic director has the current book, and we build to whatever it says.
Do
- Order in September or October for a November season.
- Collect real sizes before you submit anything.
- Check numbers and colors against your league's rules.
- Order a light and a dark set for basketball.
Skip
- Guessing sizes off last year's roster.
- Waiting until the week before tryouts.
- A multi-color basketball number if 2027 rules matter to you.
- Ordering warmups separately and hoping the colors match.
A good uniform order is quiet. You approve the proof, and the boxes show up before opening night.
Why coaches order with us
We decorate in house, so screen print, embroidery, and sublimation all happen under one roof at the New Berlin store. That keeps your colors consistent across jerseys, warmups, and spirit wear, and it means one person is tracking your order instead of a chain of vendors. If you want the difference between the decoration methods, our post on twill vs sublimated uniforms lays it out. We handle programs of every size, from a first-year club to the 20-plus athletic programs at Carroll University, our largest team account. You can browse the custom uniforms lineup or start a conversation with our team sales staff and we will take it from there.
Have this ready when you call
- Your sport, level, and season start date.
- Team colors and a logo file if you have one.
- A rough roster count, sizes coming soon.
- Whether you need warmups or spirit wear in the same order.
