The 2027 Marucci Rckless Gen 2 Alloy -5 is a one-piece alloy USSSA bat built for power hitters who want to swing a little heavier. It has a balanced, traditional swing feel with a lower MOI for bat speed, and it fits hitters who want a bridge between youth bats and larger-barrel bats.
The AZR Alloy barrel uses a multi-variable wall design and ring-free construction, so the whole barrel flexes with no restrictor rings and the sweet spot is wider and more consistent. Thinner walls are more forgiving on off-center hits. The third-generation AV3 vibration dampener in the handle reduces sting, and a custom-molded hand taper shaped for the -5 drop can be removed to suit the hitter's preference.
