The 2027 Marucci Rckless Gen 2 Composite -8 is a two-piece composite USSSA bat built for fast, aggressive hitting. Marucci's pitch for it is "No loading screens. No warm-up lap." It suits strong 11U and 12U travel ball hitters who have outgrown a -10 but still want bat speed.
The fiber-layered FLEX Composite barrel flexes for a loud, explosive sound and a wider sweet spot, and its ring-free construction removes restrictor rings so the whole barrel performs. The OLS connection is the stiffest Marucci makes, which cuts vibration at contact. The PFX composite handle is tuned for the -8 drop, and a custom-molded hand taper can be removed to suit the hitter's preference.
